§1Scope

This policy covers personal information we collect through this website and in the course of quoting, selling and invoicing. We sell business-to-business; the information we hold is almost entirely business contact information about people acting in a professional capacity.

§2What we collect

You give us: name, company, business email, phone where you provide it, ship-to location, and whatever you write in a quote request or email. If you become a customer, we also hold purchase order details, billing contacts and tax exemption certificates.

Collected automatically: standard web server information — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — retained by our hosting provider. This site uses no analytics, advertising pixels or chat widgets, and sets no cookies of its own.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed to children.

§3Why we have it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation.
• To place, fulfil and drop-ship orders through our distributors, which requires sharing your ship-to details with them and with carriers.
• To invoice, collect payment and maintain accounting records.
• To meet tax, export-control and record-keeping obligations.
• To send occasional operational or commercial email about products you have asked about. Every commercial message includes an unsubscribe link and our postal address.

§4Who we share it with

We share only what a step requires:

• Distributors and manufacturers — ship-to name, address and contact, so product can be drop-shipped and warranties registered.
• Carriers — delivery address and contact.
• Our service providers — accounting, email, payment processing and hosting, under their own terms.
• Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law or to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

§5How long we keep it

Quote requests that do not become orders: 24 months. Order, invoice and tax records: for the period required by applicable tax and commercial law, which is longer. Email correspondence is retained with the account it relates to.

§6Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport and reputable vendors for accounting, mail and payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own systems; card processing is handled by our payment provider.

§7Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your contact information, unsubscribe from commercial email, or ask what we hold about you. Write to privacy@brutecommunications.com.

Deletion requests are limited by records we are required to retain — we cannot delete an invoice we are legally obliged to keep.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information under state or national privacy law. Contact us at the address above and we will tell you what applies and how to exercise them.
